Monodraught launches X-Air as a new generation of natural ventilation systems to its WINDCATCHER range. The WINDCATCHER X-Air system is the result of four years intensive research and development, the system bristles with innovation and a number of patented technologies, WINDCATCHER X-Air has been designed, value-engineered and manufactured to meet the needs of the building services industry today, and far into the future. Moulded in recyclable materials with excellent structural and UV stability, WINDCATCHER X-Air’s defining features include distinctive styling and patented LED architectural lighting.
The patented corner design not only increases performance but it also allows excess wind to bypass the system, reducing loading on the unit in high winds. The corner fin also accommodates a unique architectural lighting feature, which allows a range of optional colour preferences to specified. This gives WINDCATCHER X-Air a unique presence on the roof of a building – day and night – Another innovations include ACTIVLOUVRE® modulating aerofoil louvre technology featuring specially designed aerofoil blades that combine to minimise resistance and maximise airflow; an internal system which provides significantly smoother internal airflow. Monodraught has extended its range of Diamond Dome SUNPIPE® natural daylight systems with the introduction of a new 1000mm Diamond Dome model.
The new 1000mm SUNPIPE Diamond Dome has been designed to meet the demand for higher lux levels in the UK and mainland Europe, where buildings such as retail outlets, sports centres, etc., are increasingly being designed with ceiling heights of 12 metres or more.
The new 1000mm model is calculated to produce a 70% improvement on performance at a height of 12m for example, when compared to the 750mm.
COOL-PHASE® passive ventilation system
COOL-PHASE is Monodraught’s answer to mechanical air-conditioning systems (AC). Collaborating with The University of Nottingham, BASF, and the Carbon Trust, Monodraught has created an extremely low energy, intelligent passive cooling and heat recovery system for use within Commercial, Academic and Health Care environments.
The iNVent system is a bespoke in-house designed natural ventilation management system for up to 4 zones of SOLA-BOOST® solar assisted natural ventilation systems or WINDCATCHER® natural ventilation systems, utilising our seasonally adjusted proportional control based on temperature and CO2.
The unobtrusive look allows the system to be sited all around buildings rather than just the boiler room. This means each panel can be local to the zones it controls minimising cabling.
