Great Success at The South West Homebuilding & Renovating Show

Septon Mallet Homebuilding and Renovating Show
The South West Homebuilding and Renovation Show at Shepton Mallet proved a tremendous success with over 4,500 visitors attending. The photo shows our Stand just after the Show has opened and as you can see you could not move on the Stand. We reckoned that we had at least 30 visitors on the Stand at any one time!

This Show brought our busy exhibition calendar to an end for 2009 but we are already booking Shows for next year and are also in to process of having a new Stand designed for the 2010 season.

The Big Winner!

Architect of the Year Awards - Casino Sponsorship

Apart from Monodraught’s Technical Director, Nick Hopper, pictured on the left with his guest, this year’s other big winner at the Monodraught sponsored Casino at the recent Architect of the Year Awards were the Charity, Article 25.

Article 25's work is to design, build and manage construction projects that give better shelter wherever there is disaster, poverty or the need for shelter.

We were pleased to learn that the casino event raised nearly £2700 for Article 25, Monodraught are looking forward to next years event whereby we hope that a nice sum of money can again be raised for charity.

Architect of the Year Awards

Architect of the Year Award
Monodraught are yet again delighted to sponsor this year’s Charity Casino at the Architect of the Year Awards 2009, which will be taking place on the 5th of November. The charity casino hosts a fantastic after party for all the big names of the architect industry, Monodraught saw last year’s Charity Casino start off with a bang.

In previous years the event has been held at the Hilton Hotel London, this year the Architect of the Year Award is at the larger, more up-market location at the InterContinental in London for a contemporary style in the heart of Mayfair.

We have two tables this year and guests include our top Architects and VKR.
Our guests from VKR will be able to experience at first hand the fun of the Charity Casino and the success that this brings to Monodraught.

Since its launch in 2004 the Architects of the Year Awards has grown in size and stature, featuring entries and attendance from leading practices and is now firmly established as a key event in the architectural calendar.

Get a green light with Sunpipe

Recycled Aluminium Sunpipes
Monodraught has introduced a new range of Sunpipes manufactured using material that is made from more than 90% of recycled aluminium which makes this already sustainable product even more environmentally friendly.

The new range was developed jointly by Monodraught’s Research and Development Department and the Commercial Design Team as part of an ongoing brief to ensure that the company’s growing range of natural technologies not only provide innovative energy-saving solutions for buildings, but are also manufactured from sustainable materials wherever possible.

The performance of these recycled aluminium Sunpipes will remain unchanged as the silver mirror finish is the same. They will still bring natural daylight into just about any building and typically provide approximately three times as much light as a similar conventional rooflight.
