More than 23 Monodraught staff members have been taking part
We kicked off January by joining in with the national RED January campaign organised by Mind, the mental health charity. Over 23 staff members are participating and challenging themselves to get active every day! They started 2020 in a positive way while raising funds for Buckinghamshire Mind.
In partnership with Buckinghamshire Mind, the team have enjoyed our January focus to support our mental health, it has encouraged all of us with sedentary jobs to do something active every day. Activities could include walking the dog, a target number of steps a day, swimming, cycling or walking to work. The aim is simply to try to do something active every day.
Staff have been sharing pictures of them taking part, ranging from running the Maidenhead Parkrun to hiking in the Lake District and North Yorkshire. RED January encourages everyone to support our mental health by doing something active every single day. RED January can provide a goal and a focus and empowered participants to start the year in a positive way. All achievements are celebrated, no matter how big or small. (insert team pic)
Supporting our own mental health and donating to Buckinghamshire Mind
Corporate citizenship is important to Monodraught, we are committed to working in an ethical and responsible manner. Our green tech solutions help people be in a healthier natural built environment, and as such, we regularly extend these strong ethical credentials into ways to contribute to our local and wider community.
It is important to look at ways to improve our impact on employee wellbeing and how we can help in our local community. Community Relationships are vital and we are pleased to continue our relationship with Bucks Mind and support them in targeted strategic activities throughout the year.
Monodraught will donate £1 for every day each member of staff completes this activity for the month, as well as the team’s own personal fundraising efforts. This will contribute to the Buckinghamshire Mind fundraising target for RED January which stands at £5,000.
