Having witnessed unprecedented price increases in energy costs this year, increasing attention is being paid to the question of how to reduce our current energy consumption and our heating bills for this coming winter.
Monodraught launched the Heat Harvester, designed like a mini jet engine, at The Building Centre in Store Street, London, on 21st September 2006. With any building over 5m in internal height, the hot air created by the heating system rises to the underside of roof level.
The Heat Harvester is suspended from just below roof level and sucks in all the heat that is otherwise wasted and blasts the heat down by as much as 15m – 20m back down to floor level using just a 35W motor! As a result, the running costs are just 50p per week and yet, the Heat Harvester can reduce wintertime heating bills by at least 30%! |
