Such is the versatile nature of the Monodraught systems that they can be used on a wide range of conventional discharge or vent arrangements, providing the benefits of maintenance free architecturally designed outlets to compliment any building.
Mixed mode applications were favoured in the late ‘90s for natural ventilation where doubt was expressed that natural ventilation could indeed be effective throughout summer months. Monodraught’s experience has been that where such mixed mode or fan assisted provision has
been made in the past, the fans have never
actually been called into use, such is the highly effective nature of the Windcatcher system. Nevertheless such provision of fan assistance can be made without unduly affecting the performance of the system under natural draught conditions.
Monodraught’s design team will calculate the louvre area required, together with any spigot connections that may be necessary, but all other flashing details and installation requirements will be the same as for any other Monodraught system. |
