The installation of the Monodraught Windcatcher system is relatively simple and the standard upstand details shown below normally apply.
Upstands
Aluminium Roofs
For a standing seam/aluminium profile roof a welded upstand should be provided by the roofing contractor as part of the normal roof coverings. Alternatively Monodraught can include this work as part of their package.
Insulated Roof Panels
For new and existing metal profile colour coated roof panels Monodraught can provide a purpose designed GRP moulded flashing/soaker sheet for circular systems for each individual Project as part of their package or this can be provided and installed by Apeture or Jones and Woodman.
Welded upstand for aluminium roofs
Slate or Tile
For a slate or tile roof an 18mm external quality plywood upstand is required, covered with Code 4 lead and this is normally provided by the builder.
Upstand for Square System
Flat Roof
For a flat roof of asphalt or built up felt roofing, Monodraught can provide a galvanised or GRP soaker sheet to be built in by the builder. Alternatively, a conventional plywood upstand should be specified.
Single Ply Membrane
For a single ply membrane roof such as Sarnafil Monodraught provide a galvanized flashing that is fitted to the roof deck and the single ply membrane is heat sealed in place.

part of the standard package, or will provide full working drawings for on-site installation.
